ARTIST STATEMENT

With implicit references to Japanese art and Minimalism, my work explores liminal spaces, where identity is redefined or transcended, and asks how interior experiences can be expressed as metamorphic elements in nature. The awareness of self and its landscape is significant to my creative process, which aims to bring cohesion, through figurative dreamscapes, to the fragmentation and incompleteness of existence.
